concepts of developing effective sales proposals.

Each student should indicate the type of
job they would like to obtain upon graduation.

This assignment will

9. conduct a professional sales presentation

Instructions

You have
been accepted to participate in a newly developed International Business
Internship program. To ensure successful
placement with a company that most closely aligns with your needs, skills, and
your desired employment direction, please create a “sales proposal” of your
skills (your personal features), and how your desired sponsor company could
benefit from them. Clearly provide your
unique competitive advantage. Use examples, anecdotes, and proof providers to
increase the strength of your qualifications.

Identify
the industry, the intern position, and the types of duties that you are
seeking. Identify 4 or 5 potential
characteristics (the needs) of the desired intern position and the relative
importance of each one (remember ranking of multiple attributes?). The characteristics of the intern position
(the needs) that you list will be used to potentially evaluate your skills
(considered to be your personal features) against others who could be competing
for the same position.

Prepare
your written sales proposal, in the proper format, including an executive
summary, a statement of customer needs, and your proposed solution to meet
those needs. Also, have a 3-minute (strictly enforced) oral presentation, ready
to deliver to the class on Tuesday Oct 20th.

Tip: Refer
to Chapter 6 (pg 148) where Written Sales Proposals are discussed in
detail.
