· Amino acid is known to be the building blocks of human body. It is essential in body as it makes several vital things in the body such as organ, skin, tendons, hormones, neurotransmitters, enzymes and various muscles. Amino acids also help in building contractile elements in human muscles. Some amino acid is synthesized within the body’s cell while others are supplied by the food that is consumed orally. The ones that are obtained by consuming food are known as essential amino acids. The 9 essential amino acid isoleucine, histidine,  leucine,  methionine, lysine, threonine,  phenylalanine, valine and  tryptophan loaded in whey protein. Whey protein is the liquid portion of the milk that is separated from curd when cheese is formation takes place. It is mostly rich in branched-chain amino acids such as leucine, and also has high level of cysteine. Studies have shown that leucine is an important growth-promoting amino acid in human body.
