Choose any medical condition that we have studied in Weeks 1-4 of the course. Your paper should include:
I choose sinusitis

  • APA Title Page

  • Abstract - approximately 100-word summary of your paper

  • Introduction to the disease

  • Symptoms

  • Causes/Risk Factors

  • Treatments (include Alternative Treatments)

  • Prognosis

  • Prevention

  • Reference Page - use APA format and include at least three quality peer reviewed sources from the Davenport University Library in addition to your textbook (no outside websites, please). Whenever possible, your work should be in your own words (no more than 10% of your post should be word-for-word from your sources). Cite all references inside the paper (in-text) and at the end of your post (list of References) in APA format. On of the things I want to stress is that the you are to use peer-reviewed sources (see below).

    This means that

you are not to use websites, such as

    WebMD or encyclopedia sources

.You may use your text Anatomy Physiology & Disease by Booth & Storia 3Edition, however, you must have 3 peer-reviewed sources to go with them.

Your paper should be 1000-1200 words in length (including separate title, abstract, and reference pages). Your grade will be based on content (40 points) and grammar/mechanics/APA formatting (10 points). See the attached file for the grading rubric and sample APA files.
