Analysis of personal traits
or competencies which are important for project managers in order to be most effective in global project management
The project I’m involved in is to identify the ways in which profits can be generated for a healthcare clinic. It deals with the development of strategic methods so that the clinic can expand and include more valuable services for the patients. My role is to develop the strategies and methods.
In global project management, a project manager must be a good leader in order to meet the requirements of the project. The mark of a good project leader is to look after the requirements and needs of the client and meet the demands of that the project entails. Having the ability to meet both team and customer satisfaction is what is most desirable in a project manager. Competencies of a project manager depend on the abilities of the individual. Problem solving ability, position power, and to control the outcomes make that individual a competent leader. A person has to show a level of commitment, persuasive power, keeping an open possibility for all the problems that his project or team may encounter. The mark of a good leader is also effective delegation that helps to develop a more productive environment (Fleming and Koppelman, 2016). Competent authority is needed while handling responsibilities and completing the task at hand.
