Reflections on the Great Pyramid of Giza
The ancient wonders of the world have one su
rvivor that is the Great Pyramid of Giza. The universal idea that the Great pyramid of Giza represented, according to me, is might and power. The gigantic structure of the Pyramid was unprecedented and it is said to have been the tallest building in the world for 4 millennia. So I believe the Pharaoh who had it built wanted to demonstrate an unprecedented level of strength and might. He must have wanted it to remain a structure that would survive for thousands of years and a sign of his own existence as a mighty King (Edwards, 2003). This artifact demonstrates the advanced construction genius of the engineers of the time as well as the power that the king exercised by having large amount of slaves engages in constructing a gigantic structure.
