Introduction
The policy and program evaluation that have been selected represents processes and practices that are significant with reporting and investigating sexual misconduct within the prisons. This is a report and investigation of a sexual assault within the prison complex. Even though very little is known about the processes and case attrition within the prison. This report shall effectively focus on analyzing the industry's standards to guide the evaluation and focus on outcomes based on Industries standards in the evaluation.
Set of Industry Standards to guide Evaluation
The policies and programs have projected that sexual abuse of people within the confinement is a violation of human rights and this is also associated with the violation of the government's obligation to provide safe conditions for the prisoners in the confinement. The industry requires to comply with national standards that are proposed by the commission and approved by the higher authorities of the judicial section of the country. This also focuses to eliminate sexual abuse in the presence and the standards provide a commitment to zero tolerance of sexual abuse in the confinement facilities. The industry standards focus to develop benchmarks that will effectively help to do away with incidents of prison rape and other forms of sexual abuse in the prison (Darcy, 2020). This was constituted by the formation of the National Prison Rape Elimination Commission which prevents prison rape and other forms of sexual abuse.
The Prison Rape Elimination act of 2003 also constitutes the standards that focus on eliminating sexual abuse in the confinement. The industry's standards propose mandatory requirements. Zero tolerance for sexual abuse is the most significant standard that complies to eliminate all forms of sexual abuse. Contracting with other entities for the confinement of inmates includes the obligation to adopt and comply with the standards that specify the public agent is to monitor the entity's compliance with the standards.
The standards have also mentioned supervision as a necessary activity to protect inmates from sexual abuse.
