For this course, a student is expected to complete a project within the semester and write a report to summarize your project.
Please feel free to propose your own project. The below are some of my recommendations:
1) A student could go out to find an internship/part-time-work related to informatics, at the end of the semester submitting a report to summarize the project. If a student already has an informatics/health-realted job or internship, the student can use part of the work to fulfill the course requirement.
2) A student could collaborate with any faculties to conduct a research project and summarizing the project as a report.
3) A student could self-initialize an informatics research, system design, product development, data analysis, or literature review study project. The project report will be submitted at the end of the semester.
4) We also have students use the course time to acquire useful certification that could help job hunting, such as: SAS certification, R Programming Certificate, database management, and/or programming certificate etc.
