Introduction
Background
The first Volvo truck was built in 1928. The Volvo trucks are renowned for their reliability. It is based on our three core values - environmental, safety and quality protection. Over the past 20 years, Volvo truck has been driving the advancement of the Australian market throughout our high-tech new products and service solutions. Volvo Trucks is known in Australia for providing quality transportation solutions to its customers with its state-of-the-art trucks, support by our extremely qualified and professional team of the professionals. Volvo Truck's commitments to quality mean services and products that customers can trust. This means good uptime and better bottom line. Volvo Trucks' commitment to prevent accidents and reduce harms is as old as it is now. This is a safety innovation of more than the 80 years. Volvo Trucks is working hard to achieve a sustainable transportation business.
Lean start-up, Lean Entrepreneurship is a paradigm shift in product and business development launched by Steve Blank and further promoted by Eric Ries. By establishing a "customer development" approach, the lean entrepreneurial movement has come down to a simple slogan: build, measure, and learn (Abangma, 2014). There are three key stages in a complete lean entrepreneurial approach. Using the business model canvas as a model, the first step is to use the canvas to draw and organize business assumptions. The founders tested their theory by bringing the smallest viable products to market and using real customer feedback to verify their hunch.
Aim
This study aims to analyze lean startup innovation trend and to determine how it become beneficial for IKEA organization.
Scope
This report is based on Volvo trucks annual data and information to complete this report following assumptions were used as Volvo trucks annual revenue decrease and they want to increase by applying new innovation trend.
Discussion
Concepts definition and relationship
Organizational Environment
The organizational environment of the Volvo Trucks is the key elements that can help brands to succeed in a highly competitive or uncertain market environment. The main role of the business leaders is critical because they shape business environment and make sure that innovation is the major key for the success of Volvo trucks business (Araya Castillo, 2017).
Innovation trend: Lean startup
Originally inspired by the concept of “lean manufacturing” in Japan in the 1980s and 1990s, the company will focus on the process of creating value – more specifically, the features and services that customers are willing to pay. By leveraging the scientific approach to producing the smallest viable product, manufacturers can quickly bring products to market and iterate based on feedback received. This is at the heart of the lean entrepreneurial movement: rapid prototyping, coupled with extensive analysis of customer interactions to determine key value and product market fit. Lean start-up is the most effective way to drive a Volvo truck, reducing the risk of failure because it is basically a way to bring new products to market based on the assumptions that must be tested and validated by scientific experiments (Bieraugel, 2015). Therefore, regular testing of the product and its vision helps Volvo trucks avoid failures.
Innovative strategy
LSM tends to experiment with meticulous planning and customer feedback on intuition. Its goal is to create an organization, not just a product. In addition, LSM instructed Volvo Truck Managers to complete the production process to ensure that Volvo-produced trucks meet customer needs, are sustainable, and attract early adopters who are ultimately customers.
Innovative Capabilities
Lean startups also need to develop new businesses while looking for the next big thing. Once they start scaling, their initial speed and flexibility seem to drop, and they need to work harder to remember their early lessons and regain their creative edge (Blank, 2013). However, the lean start-up campaign has not yet fully become mainstreams, and Volvo Trucks has not yet fully exerted its influence. With the promotion of their practice, they are turning the traditional wisdom about...
