Hotels collaborate with a variety of companies, such as ground transportation providers and other leisure businesses, as well as special events that support the world of hospitality. At times, hoteliers work with the city directly for various events in order to satisfy guest needs. With this in mind, select a hotel in your area that is connected to various special events. A special event could include a onetime event such as filming a movie, an annual festival, a conference, or a competition.


In 750-1,000 words, evaluate the following:



  1. Briefly describe your selected hotel and the various special events with which it is associated.

  2. Describe which business segments the special event attracts to help support the hosting efforts (hotels, airline companies, transportation/rental car companies, credit card companies, restaurants, retailers, service providers, etc.).
