Introduction
Managerial accounting is so significant because it a
cts as a bridge within the finance function other parts of the business activities. It supports the management controlling the business entity. Accounting is linked with the language of business as the business of finance and commerce has different limitations and variations. Long term techniques and strategies for performing the business are important for ensuring certain profits but it can be critical for the management to focus on the objectives of the company in a direction towards the potential and growth opportunities. The main goal of marketing managers is to accomplish customer demands within the future and current time. The current study will be discussing the different types of management accounting systems. The study also analyses the relevancy of the management accounting system and contemporary organisation. The assessment deals with the management accounting system in other real-life examples of the organisations.
1. Identification of specific examples of the different types of management accounting methods and/or techniques from the case.
The economy division has also decided to implement further accounting systems. In the words of Otley (2016) the transfer and promotion to the production division mean proper independence from the chief Accountant was the superior of the controller and was to identify the problem of the cost production. From the given case study it has been analysed that there are mainly three types of management accounting such as:
Financial Statement analysis
The account of profit and loss and balance sheet are crucial annual statements. Therefore report is evaluated for the effective period. The research has concluded various factors about how an organisation can utilise the accounting system in nature. It supports the management controlling the business entity (Maas, et al. 2016).
This kind of investigation is supportive for the organization to analyse the rate of development of concern of business. In the case of Company A, the organisation does not depend on not only internal information. The reason is after the acquisition the entire internal and external market for the new organisation would be changed. As mentioned by Cooper et al. (2017) this kind of analysis is implemented with the comparative financial statement statements, with the common size statements along with the ratio analysis. For instance, Company A faced with the emerging series of disparate financial management and reporting accounting system focusing on the path of divestment and acquisition. The main expectation to serve a platform to cooperate with all the business divisions into an individual instance system was termed to be paramount.
Financial Planning
The main goal of any kind of business organisation is the maximisation of profitability. The purpose is mainly accomplishing by developing proper financial planning. Therefore the financial planning is termed as the best tool and techniques for accomplishing the objectives of the business. For instance, the financial planning systems at this stage is said to be inconsequential at Company A and is further applied to obtain annual reports (Chenhall and Moers 2015).
Fund flow analysis
This analysis has analysed the association of fund from an individual period to other groups. However, this kind of analysis is analytical to know either the fund is used properly applied or not when measured to last year. In the viewpoint of Nitzl (2016) the emerging changes in capital from operations are also analysing out this breakdown. For instance, having performed both a management and financial accountant, the BFM was the desire to have a proper understanding of effective concepts. This enabled the researchers to determine the needs of information, from an individual source, of multiple managers, who are in the universal locations (Ro 2019).
2. Are MAS relevant to contemporary organisations? Discuss on the evidence taken from the case company?
Management accounting is defined as the profession that includes partnering in management decision making, performance management system and decision making. In the words of Granlund and Lukka (2017) managerial accounting includes analysing, collecting and reporting information along with the operations of the business. Managerial accounting is concerned as the type of accounting that serves the direct information to the decision makers and managers within the organisation or company. Organisational techniques focus on the two categories such as contemporary and traditional. Traditional designs involve simple structure, divisional structure.
Contemporary designs involve functional structure, matrix structure, and divisional structure. As it has been believed that traditional organisation are analytical in the progress and activities. On the other side, teamwork is defined as the main aspect of modern organisations. As analysed from the case study, it has been analysed that suffering from competitive rivals, company A enhanced an individual strategic plan to observe the strategy remaining at the forefront of production and technology efficiency. As mentioned by Malmi (2016) adopting effective technology corporations in the industry was the major part of the initial strategic direction. Managerial accounting is applied to help the managers to make a proper decision that develops the operational efficiency and effectiveness. The main benefits of contemporary organisational design are that the employees have appropriate freedom to develop the own decisions, and also make effective changes and also take the primary owner of the work with any kind of interferences from the senior management and middle management.
In the traditional company, the power goes from top to bottom, file workers are observed such as cogs in the company and should also implement a certain amount of decisions from which they have no such input (Hall 2016). But in case of cultural changes in the organisational workplace that has turn over the tenets of a customary organisation that serves stability and control, the modern company design in which the staff members are provided with the autonomy along with the power to implement the further changes and decisions.
In the case of the...
