But so many of these efforts fail due to a lack of change management. Companies of all types and sizes are investing heavily in the digitization of their business models. Driven by the changing consumer expectations that B2C digital juggernauts like Uber, Netflix and Amazon have created, many companies are investing in reimagining their business using change management strategies. To achieve relevance in what is being called the Fourth Industrial Revolution — the convergence of offline and digital, mobile, artificial intelligence, social and cloud — companies must be more customer focused, agile, lean and interactive. As organizations grow, particularly in the global space, change is inevitable. As businesses take on a more global-facing model, management must be ready to facilitate the changes that ensue. This means creating plans for introducing and managing change. Kotter 8-Step Change Model or Hayes model (Choose any one) that is widely used to help overcome barriers to change in organizations. Select a problem and its solution either from your professional experience or personal experience and apply the Kotter or Hayes model as an approach to deliver and sustain the Digital Transformation solution implemented by the organisation that you worked for or witnessed. You may share your contribution to plan and execute change. Provide specific details about the problem and the solution. Then guide the on how the Hayes or Kotter model might be applied to sustain the solution. Start by considering these five Ws: · Why is there a need for digital transformation? · What do you need in technology, processes, and management? · Who is responsible for the execution of the plan? · When will the changes take place, and what are the milestones? · Where will these changes occur? Remember: Digital transformation is key to the survival of many companies, yet digital transformations are tough and frequently fail. Without successful change management, digital transformation efforts will fail to deliver results. Guidelines for Assignment I believe that quality is more important than quantity – thus focus on making a strong argument or analysis, not on hitting a specific word count. It is therefore one of the most important aspects that needs to be included in the business process in order to ensure the competitive advantage for the future of the business.
Transformation within the organisation has enabled the organisation or the companies to reach to the customers and designed their business perspectives on the account of the customer demand. as organisations grow particularly in the Global space and with the increasing segments of globalisation change has become an inevitable prospect for the organisation to grow and enhance the profitability. Companies are becoming more customer oriented and customer centres are effectively influencing them to facilitate the changes and creating plans for introducing and managing changes within the organization.
Problem Overview
This particular discussion shall focus on the problem of communication gap between the business and the customers. This communication gap needs to be addressed with a significant digital transformation by effective Change management in the organisation that will help the company to grow. The discussions focus on what technology and processes need to be focused on for addressing the particular digital transformation. The importance of such changes in the organization will be discussed with the relevant justification of the competitive advantage that will be incurred to the organization.
Change Management
According to the Kotter’s 8 steps model, in terms of addressing contextual changes within the organization it is effective to go through a systematic manner in order to ensure a proper and a sustainable change within the organization. 
The very first step of the Change management of the Kotter’s model focuses on creating a sense of urgency for implementing the particular change in the organization. In this aspect it is effective for the organization to create a sense of urgency for the implementation of a particular system that helps to reduce the communication gap with the customers. the relevant needs and aspirations of the customers’ needs to be assimilated in terms of performing better and for the future growth of the organization (Appio et al.,2020). This needs to be communicated within the organization to inspire people to act in order to hold it as an aspiration opportunity and build a momentum that excites the organization to pursue a company vision for the future.
The second step focuses on building a guiding coalition and coordinating it with other activities within the organization. The organisation needs to work on deciding the committed people and communicate effectively the need for such change within the organisation. The most effective context of changing management in terms of the communication strategies have to be ensured in order to contemplate with the changes (Vogelsang et al., 2019). The organisation needs to volunteer on a network that focuses on the need for such changes.
The next step focuses on clarifying how the implementation of the changes will differ the future activities within the organisation. this can effectively make the future initiative stronger with the relevant changes in the organisation. in this aspect it is effective to guide the organisation about the relevant features that will come up after implementing a proper Communication Technology with an enhance digital transformation so that the communication gap between the organisation and the customers are minimised or eliminated. this shall focus on enhancing the communication possibilities between the customer and address the demand in a more sustainable way (Tabrizi, 2021).
In the following step it is effective to ensure that a volunteer within the organisation needs to be addressed so that they can collectively pursuit the opportunity of the goal for the change. The goal of addressing the digital transformation within the organisation must not be at the individual level but must be addressed collectively for the changes within the organisation.
