Lifespan management is a branch of healthcare studies where a person observes another person living with a health condition. Basically, they analyse the different stages of the life of a person and how they impact the wellbeing, mental state or personality of that particular person with time or age.
10 terms that are related to lifespan management are:
1. Continuous development: In a lifespan, a person goes through development constantly. But there are two different types in which the development takes place. Continuous development is one of those two processes. Continuous developments consider development as a cumulative process. It surrounds on the gradual improvement of the existing skills.
2. Discontinuous development: In contrast to continuous theories, there is also something called discontinuous development. Unlike continuous development, changes and developments take place very suddenly. Such as an infant’s ability to conceive object permanence. The process of continuous and discontinuous development, if shown in a graph can be understood better as there, we can see how smooth the continuous development takes place while the discontinuous development seems bumpier.
