Impact of External and Internal Standards
The healthcare standards helps health systems develop and access topics such as leadership, infection, governance, infection control, management of medication, which all together impact the quality of services. As mentioned by Alotaibi and Federico (2017), the organizations should determine gaps in the current systems and focus on improving health and safety of patients.
The internal environment refers to the working environment, in which a health service is delivered and to the equipment and facilities needed to deliver services. The external environment refers to the environment that influences the efficiency and quality of services of healthcare organizations. There are various impacts on internal and external standards. A patient’s illness is major factor, which implies severity of illness provides stress and overall quality of medical services.
If a young boy suffering from tumor and is going to die this makes stress and affects healthcare. Physician knowledge and skills impacts on healthcare as quality of medical serviced rely on physician skills for example aspirin is good for headache but it causes severe other problems. Therefore, physician should carry proper knowledge on healthcare.
Cooperation of the patient is must. According to me, if patient do to follow medical orders then objective would not be achieved. Patient should disclose all the healthcare problems to the doctors. Resources and facilities also affect the overall work. If there are not adequate resources for patients then it will affect the quality of healthcare.
