Introduction
Gangsta Rap is a hip hop style wherein the lyrics and themes tend to emphasize lifestyle of gangsta. There may be variation in the subject matter but the common element is that rappers seem to refer themselves as thugs or gangsters mostly. Varying ways to interpret texts has happened in this genre wherein the evolution of this genre took place from hardcore rap into distinct form focusing harsh street life realities and the gang cultures.
