Industrial robots are autonomous systems comprising sensors, controllers, and actuators installed on an articulated frame that perform certain tasks in a production or processing line. They are directed to work constantly through cycles of repeated movement by a set of instructions known as a programme. These devices lessen or completely replace the human factor in order to obtain a number of benefits in terms of processing speed, capacity, and quality.
Cartesian Robot
A Cartesian robot is made up of three prismatic joints. As a result, the tool can only travel along each axis in a straight line. Circular motions can still be produced using kinematic models that enable circular interpolation. The term "Cartesian" refers to the three-dimensional Cartesian coordinate system, which has X, Y, and Z axes.
Cartesian robots are the most basic robotic system since they can only move in one direction while operating. They work well for applications that simply require right-angle motion and don't require angular translation.
Because one or two of its prismatic joints may be...
