There are two steps for this assignment. Part A involves writing a report and Part B involves a 10 minute presentation in class. Assessment 3A advances skills in analysing and reporting qualitative data, and reflexivity of practice. Key understanding includes how to generate meaning from qualitative data, how to report the results of qualitative analysis, and how to reflect on one’s own performance to identify strengths and opportunities for growth. The assessment prepares students for an important task common to the public health practitioner role. Instructions: Analysis: Use the resources in module six to: 1. Introduction- Sleeping has an important role in our physical health. During sleeping the organs get rest, repairing and healing are occurring. All the cell of animals needs appropriate rest this completed by a proper time span that is known as sleep when the duration of rest is much more. Sleep keep our body healthy, reduce the risk of heart diseases, diabetics, stock, mental illness, increase productivity, boost up immunity, maintain emotional balance etc so sleep is crucial.
Student life is always busy and included with mental pressure regarding study, career etc. Some time the quality of sleep is disturbed for those reasons and it is going to hamper the quality of life. This qualitative study is required to understand the effect of sleep on the performance and related health risks. According to the study paper of The prevalence of sleep disorders in college students: impact on academic by Gaultney JF. (2010) Twenty-seven percent of students were at risk for at least one sleep disorder. African American and Asian students reported less risk for insomnia and fewer poor sleep practices relative to white and Latino students Twenty-seven percent of students were at risk for at least one sleep disorder. Summary of Research Questions
The study aims to examine the risk factors related with the sleeplessness among the international students. The study is going to co related the risk factors with health problems causes by the sleeplessness or lack of sleep.
Methodology
Research design – The study done by the semi-structured interview method over the four individual personal. The interview method was arranged through the set of open ended questioners. The questions asked by the investigator own self. Mostly the available times were considered for the taking data.
The sample number was 4; all came from abroad from Australia like south-east, southern Asia and staying in the country for study. The data are the evaluated through the open answers of individuals, the quality of sleep and related issues are mainly observed.
Sample selection – The data collection process is Random Data Collection system. The (n=4) number of sample taken 4 from the Laureate International Universities. As their available time to discuss the interviews were arranged.
Ethical consideration – The interviewers’ data of this study remain private. According to the ethic need to keep safe for further use also. The authority of the institute allows taking data from the students. The permits of the interviews or gathering information from university are the part of study to get and analyse the authentic data that will be presented.
Data collection report –
The interview taken with 12 numbers of open ended questions in classrooms and hostel of interviewers. The interviews have taken place 20 to 30 minutes per samples with pen and paper securely. The information are related with validity, categories, coding, theming with repeatedly checked to cut down the errors. Translated information was precisely investigated by analysis technique.
Reasearch findings -
Coding and theming- Bases on the information of interview the related or responsible risk factores of sleeplessness are described below. This is also important to relate the sleeping quality.
