Question 1: There are a couple of elements of the general environment that can signifi
cantly influence the future of the German luxury car industry. They are the economic condition of the country, the GDP or Gross Domestic Product of Germany, the political influence and other competitive luxury car companies. The economic condition and the GDP of the country can suggest if the country as a whole would be able to afford a luxury car in general. If the economic status is no9t stable, most people would not be buying luxury cars and the company could soon be in debt or face terrible loss and be in shambles . The political state is also somewhat an important factor as due it can make or break the reputation of the company. In fact political pressure can go as far as to even abolish a company. Due to a number of other companies that are present as a competition, it is considered a key influential element of the German Luxury Car industry. A lot of competition may mean that the consumers get a lot of choice which in turn can affect the sales of one particular car company in either a positive or negative way.
Question 2: David Jones has mapped an entire program that will boost his communication and engagement with his customer. He has plans of launching a customer loyalty program as an element of his three-pronged strategy to facilitate better understanding and engagement with his customers that are onboard with him. The main purpose of this program devised by David Jones is to make sure that he is delivering quality to his customers across the group and within all categories and brands. He is quite keen about fostering a solid one-to-one relationship as he believes that it is the best possible form of communication. The lesser the number of people in between two communicators, the easier it is to come to a solution and get done with things in a much faster and organised manner. Providing a one on one experience shows how important a customer is to a company or organisation as it is the highest level of engagement (Mohsenzadeh and Ahmadian, 2016).
