In our society, there is always the poor section of the people, who faces all kind of plights in their life. This plight leads to many harsh and unwanted consequences, which could even lead to death of that person. In this article the discussion will be made with respect to the analysis of the story “A Summer of Tragedy”, which was written by Arna Bontemps in the year 1933, depicting the plight of the character Patton. The analysis will be done with respect to the troubles they faced and that lead them to take a fatal decision.
