In this particular essay I will be throwing some light on Police Community Support Officer and it is known by everyone more or less that quite challenging and demanding, it also requires continuous learning and applying the practical skills. However, the duties of the community support officer tend to vary but they are quite likely to consist of: guarding the scenes of the crime, dealing with the anti-social behaviour, issuing notices of the fixed penalty, offering some advice on the prevention of the crime and gathering intelligence from the community. This literature review will be exploring firstly the perspectives of the community policing, their impact on the society/community, secondly theoretical perspectives and the issues will be discussed, thirdly their relationship with the community, individual citizens, etc.
It can be said that the specialist operations directorate is mainly one of unit in terms of the Metropolitan Police of London that is responsible for providing capabilities of the specialist policing consisting counter-terrorism operations and security operations. Community involvement in the U.K. police services is one of the most vital changes that have been implemented. It has mainly shifted the objectives as well as goals in terms of the police services. There are some of the issues in terms of the governance structure of the specialist policing. However, the governance in terms of the police mainly deals with some of the normative principles such as transparency, accountability, participation, transparency, equity as well as the rule of law. Furthermore, the concept is also based on an assumption that the specialist policing need to benchmark the operations (Cox et al., 2018).

There are a lot of agencies in the recent times that hire in spirit of the service not in the spirit of adventure. For being an effective community officer one needs to possess some of the most significant skills such as: ability of multitasking, ability of using excellent judgement and solving issues, demonstrating assertiveness, demonstrating and possessing integrity, ability for compassion and also empathy. Police officials tend to rely on the community members cooperation for providing information about the crime in their neighbourhoods, as well as working with the police for devising the solutions for the disorder issues and crime. Similarly, the members of the community in terms of willingness for trusting the police depend on whether they believe the actions of the police reflect the values of community as well as incorporating the principals of legitimacy and justice (Cox et al., 2018).
