Many companies clearly make a serious effort to globalise their brand to overcome local competition and create new opportunities. The decision to globalise is intuitively logical, however these global companies frequently failed to achieve their expected performance goals. One of the reasons is because of the lack of understanding of the cultural differences of the host countries and their customers (Hur, Kang & Kim, 2015).
