Introduction
    Art is
one of the most important subjects, which is given preference during the early education of the child. During early childhood, at the transition of preschool, one of the developments, which is observed in children, is their inclination towards creating new things. Children started showing interest in drawing objects. This is a good sign of the cognitive development.
Art provides the chance to the children to become creative and think beyond their imagination. It is very necessary to support the creativity of the children, as these creativities develop skills in children, which help them in their future. Traditionally, art has been associated with the early childhood program (Goodwin, 2017). It is believed that art provides cognitive development, socio-emotional development and motor development in the children.
It must also be noted that art allows teachers to identify the unusual abilities in the children. Usually, children freely use the art and express their imagination and their perception in the form of art. Things children perceive in real life are expressed in the form of art. This is the reason that counsellors, while dealing with the young children, usually use the medium of art to understand their issues they are dealing with.
Art helps teacher to understand every child, which allows them to contribute in the complete development of the child (Cardoso, Carugati, Lacerda & Fidalgo, 2018). There are various resources used by the teachers to develop art skills and knowledge in the children. There are art resources used by teachers to make the class interesting and develop learning in them during early childhood.
Art Resources to Support Learning Environment
Art resources and provocation can be very helpful in creation of the supported learning environment in the class. It has been seen that children learn faster when they are engaged in the studies supported by visual treats. The use of dramas, visual arts and media arts are helpful in children to understand the relativity of the concept. The use of art resources provides them chance to use their imagination in the learning (Goodwin, 2017).
The use of dramas by teachers to teach English literature allow the students to understand the expressions and emotions the characters of the story are going through. It provides with the deep understanding about the concept that exists in the literature and help them in learning new vocabulary. As mentioned by Wan (2017), drama is now considered as second language to teach the literature.
The drama provides the platform to the children to express the emotions they think are existing in the story. It keeps all the children engaged in the story whether they are performing it or watching it. Use of drama in teaching allows the students to develop the acting skills. They can learn to deliver the dialogues, which is helpful in doing recitation and develop confidence in children to take part in various competitions such as debates (Snow & Matthews, 2016).
Visual art forms such as sculptures, pictures, painting and films are used to teach the children about various concepts. Visual art form is helpful in making clear of various important concepts such as concept of science. When children were taught the various scientific phenomena, they might fail to relate to the concept and often find the class boring. Children lack the interest in the class, which hinders their studies. As mentioned by Chan, Yuen and Lau (2016), it has been seen using the visual art form, teachers have improved the concept of the children in study.
They become related to the concept taught in class. When a child sees the concept, they can relate to it, understand it and know where it can be applied in the real life. Visual art form is very famous these days in the learning classroom especially in the primary classroom setting as it allows the children to make their concept clear and strong. It also provides them the chance to observe the concepts in the nature (Reutzel, 2015).
Media art is one of the important forms used in the teaching. It is interesting to know that use of digital media art is very common in the classroom these days. It makes the classroom fun to study. The media art forms such as animations are used to teach the mathematic in classroom and to explain the scientific experiments. Using the digital media art form, along with the correct teaching style, allows the teachers to improve the learning of the children. As noted by Gintere, Zagorskis and Kapenieks (2018), use of the media art such as chatbot or animation can also be helpful in providing moral education as well as cleanliness amongst the children.
It must be noted that when teachers help the children by guiding them in completing the experiment using the animation, all the children have their own perception behind selection of the material. This perception tells the teachers about the imaginative power of the children. The virtual animation, to teach the...
