Executive Summary
This project concerns the city council, representing the local government for City of Sydney located at New South Wales essentially operate using legislative framework which has been decided by concerned State Government. This project aims to enhance the information system at Sydney city council by employing cloud computing technology. This report presents a detailed analysis and proposal of the project plan focussing on various aspects of the projects – detailed project planning, schedule plan, budget plan, resource plan, governance and team planning, cost-benefit analysis, ethical considerations, project management guidance, integration and implementation planning. The recommendation presented is to undertake the project implementation in alignment to the detailed project plan that has been developed and presented in this report.

Introduction
This project concerns the city council, representing the local government for City of Sydney located at New South Wales essentially operate using legislative framework which has been decided by concerned State Government. This Sydney city council offers services to over ~200,000 residents as well as ~20,000 businesses, in addition to daily influx in visitors as well as workers to this city. The scope and responsibility of this council is very significant with local population swelling to over a million and people doing business, commuting, playing, shopping, studying, or else come as tourists. Across most parts in this area, city council represents a key consent authority with respect to any new developments.
In this context, this report presents a detailed planning and presentation of the various aspects of a project plan to enhance the information system at Sydney city council by employing cloud computing technology.
Part 1
Assumptions & Justifications
The project shall be funded by Sydney city council and will be managed by a special purpose project management team. The development, installation and the integration of the cloud computing technology to the internal information system.
The Sydney city council is a government body with significant responsibility requiring highly effective and up to date technology to manage its various operations. In this context, information systems represent the backbone for undertaking the various operations and actions in any organization. The current information system employed by Sydney city council appears to be very dated and equipped with various legacy systems, the overall efficiency and functional abilities of this systems for producing reliable and timely management reports is lacking and advanced / suitable communication technologies seem to be deficient in the overall system. In this context, management board of Sydney city council has decided in incorporating cloud computing related technologies within its information system for the purposes of accommodating both the local as well as remote customers, that is, public it serves, by way of these various remote operating, secure channels and effective mediums that are enabled from cloud computing. Management board of Sydney city has decided in setting up integrated and up-to-date cloud computing technology-based system to be developed and integrated within its current IT and system infrastructure which could then operate with respect to both local and also the remotely placed potential customers and in addition offer services for the customers by way of latest, handheld and advanced wireless devices in suitably leveraging and applying full potential from the cloud computing technologies. At Sydney city council facility, prevailing IT infrastructure shall be suitably updated by newer core systems with additional set of enhancement for supporting wireless technologies by way of cloud computing networking.
