Ministry Organisation Chart
An organisation chart for a ministry of church is envisaged with four levels of authority as shown below. The organisation chart is created in such a way that there will be smooth and efficient functioning of the ministry with line of discipline and coordination. The aim of this organisational structure is to serve the purpose of Lord with ease of outreach to the people in active manner.
The qualification and responsibilities of the members are addressed as follows.
Lead Pastor: The one who will the lead of the ministry of the church. He shall possess all biblical qualifications as per the requirement to serve the All Mighty and the people. He shall be qualified in any of the pastoral degrees such as Association of Arts(A.A)/ Bachelor of Science (B.S)/ Bachelor of Arts (B.A)/ Master of Divinity (M.Div)/ Master of Theolody (Th.M)/ Doctor of Ministry (D.Min)/ Doctor of Philiosophy (Ph.D)/ Doctor of Theology (Th.D) or any such relevant degrees [1]. More enlightened, knowledgeable and spiritual member is considered for the position of the lead pastor. He shall be responsible for the smooth functioning of the church and hence shall possess the managerial abilities to coordinate between the various departments of the church, schedule and head meetings, develop church program and outreaches. He shall also perform his main duties such as teaching/preaching of traditional doctrine, caregiving, counselling, comforting, taking care of needy people, perform rites of passage such as baptisms, weddings and funerals and serve as ambassador of the church[2].
· Assistant (to the Pastor): The role of the assistant here is to assist the Lead Pastor with his pastoral responsibilities and to take care of the wellbeing of him and the church.
Associate Pastors: He is next line with the biblical authority in the church after the lead pastor. He shall also possess any of the pastoral degrees as mentioned for the lead pastor and be a person of biblical qualification. He shall be reporting to the lead pastor and take of the church responsibilities. He shall perform duties such as teaching/preaching, caregiving, counselling, comforting and taking care of needy people [2]. The present organisation structure has two associate pastors in charge of Community Outreach and Ministry & Discipline.
Associate Pastor - Community Outreach: He shall be the head of all community services by the church and shall look over the departments of outreach to seniors, youth and children of the community and creative services. He shall possess the coordination skill and manage the services efficiently and shall budget out the requirements and place it to the lead pastor as and when required.
· Minister with Seniors – He shall be in-charge of rendering services to the senior community. He shall provide support, take care and guide the senior members to the path of enlightenment. He shall make arrangements for the wellness of the senior people and schedule and coordinate meetings and prayers.
