Mrs. Ryder and her five-year-old-daughter, Joy, were visiting Barnum’s Greatest Show Amusement Park when they decided to ride the Merry-Go-Round together. Mrs. Ryder was keeping a watchful eye on her daughter as the Merry-Go-Round was rotating around. Mrs. Ryder was also sitting on a carousel horse next to her daughter during this time.
Once the carousel stopped, Mrs. Ryder walked over to assist Joy dismount her horse, however, as she approached Joy, Mrs. Ryder slipped on a wet spot where someone had dropped an ice cream cone earlier in the day. Mrs. Ryder slid into her daughter and knocked her off the carousel horse. Joy fell to the floor and fractured her arm. Mrs. Ryder hit her head on the horse Joy had been riding and suffered a concussion. Mrs. Ryder also sprained her hand. Mrs. Ryder sued Barnum’s Greatest Show Amusement Park for both her and Joy’s injuries. Decide the outcome.
