United States Consumer product safety commission is the organization that looks into the product safety aspects. Though it is not a part of any other federal agency, independently the organization works on to assess the product safety matters and will independently assess the viability of the products. If there any product that not fit the frame work of its safety legislations, the CPSC will order for the call back of the product from the market. Diverse strategies and tools will be employed by CPSC for assessing the product feasibility of safe use. Some of the informative sources like, consumer complaints, safety reports, grievances of the customers, CPSC’s own product safety standards, independent research into the product safety and injuries etc will provide an insight into the product safety and based on these comprehensive observations CPSC will order product recalls from time to time as deemed necessary. The following part of the report is focussed on the discussion of recent recall and also there is considerable reference to the terminology of the recalls.
