Please make note of your answers as you complete these labs, then use them to create a formal lab report. Upload your lab report by directly entering it into the text box or uploading a supported document.

You can learn more about how to write a lab reporthere(Links to an external site.). The following are parts you generally need to include in your weekly lab reports:

  1. A title that describes what the theme for the current week's lab exercise(s) was.

  2. An introduction that briefly describes what the point or goal of those lab activities was. This is where you will also include a hypothesis (which you will ironically learn more about by doing the lab this week).

  3. Methods & Materials section: which doesn't have to be fancy. In this case it's as simple as items such as a calculator and your lab instructions. Some weeks will be more complicated than that.

  4. Results section: essentially, this is where all of your data (answers) go. If you make any graphs as part of the lab, they go here. Answers to questions also go here. If it's a virtual lab from a website, this is a great place to import screenshots as well.

  5. Discussion and Conclusion: here's where you do a little reflection on what you learned from the lab exercises you did. Discuss anything that didn't go as expected, what you did about that, what you learned from that, anything that surprised you. Think of this section as the "Dear Diary" part of the lab report.

  6. Citation/References: it's always good form to cite where you get your information from. In this case it's from instructional materials that you can cite. Sometimes you may have to go further than that and use additional/outside sources of information (such as your lecture textbook, for example). Be sure to cite all sources you used to complete your lab report each week.

Some words of advice...

I strongly, strongly, recommend that you invest in a notebook of some kind for our labs. A simple composition book is perfect for this. You'll use it to write down notes as you work on our labs each week. Some weeks there are videos or virtual labs that you'll want to catch the details and highlights from. You'll definitely want a summary of what you learned and to also capture the concepts you think are most important from each lab. When it comes time to take the lab practical at the end of the course you'll use your notes to study from, rather than trying to go back and dig up information on all of those labs. So do yourself a favor and organize your notes on labs in one spot that you can review to prepare for the practical exam with. You'll be glad that you did.

Pre dator and prey interactions:
By seeing we see that Lynx are more than hares.

Here note that x is in 1000s and y is 100s. So we convert both to same 1000’s unit and graph.
1. After graphing we see that lynx are very less than showshoe. We claimed wrongly by seeing because of the units confusion. When converting both into 1000s and graphed we got correct result.
2. Line graphs are used to track changes over  periods of time., whether short period or long period.
For smaller changes exist, line graphs are better to use than bar graphs. Line graphs can also be used to compare changes over the same period of time for more than one group. Here we have more than one group over a period of time so line graph is better.
