Explain briefly the concept of un-/ conscious bias as you understand it and based on the article. Reflect your own behaviour both in private life and at work. What conscious biases do you recognise in your own behaviour? What about unconscious biases?
Sol: Well, un-/conscious bias is a behavioral aspect in which people often tend to provide support for the ones who are their close ones or don’t lend support to the one due to many factors. The factors to be un-/conscious bias could be anything due to own personal behaviors & thinking. Few people became biased for color or gender. According to the article provided, in the workplace, many people get victims of un-/ conscious bias and unwanted treatment for the people due to their color or gender. Many organizations are now taking proper steps & training for their employees to prevent un-/conscious bias in the workplace and create an environment that is light & friendly for everyone.
