Introduction
Employee training
represents an organized approach by which organizations offer development, enhance quality, and inculcate innovation mindset amongst both new as well as existing employees. Employee trainings can be viewed as systematic and structured approach delivering learning / development which shall improve individuals, groups and organizations (Caloghirou et al., 2018; Njine et al., 2017; Boring, 2017). Hence the same represents series of varied activities that are embarked on by an organization for leading towards skills acquisition and knowledge for various purposes including that of driving innovation. The same in consequence, contributes towards the overall well-being and the performance of human resourced, organization, and also society at large (Caloghirou et al., 2018; Njine et al., 2017; Boring, 2017).
Changes within an organization namely in terms of changing nature in work, changes with respect to workforce, and changes over the ways in which people learn represent the factors which an organization shall need for being learning organization within the knowledge-based society (Caloghirou et al., 2018; Njine et al., 2017; Boring, 2017). Essentially learning organization represents a valuable mode to facilitate knowledge management and learning, as well as can be noted to be critical strategy to make enhancements over organizational performances for the purposes of ensuring that an organization remains competitive (Caloghirou et al., 2018; Njine et al., 2017; Boring, 2017). The same lays emphasis over the needs of undertaking action as well as making changes on the basis of learning which has occurred already for the purposes of improving performances. Learning organizations lead to the promotion of innovation as well as employee creativity, and the same in turn aids in enhancing overall organizational performance. The same could in addition facilitate transfer of knowledge as well as sharing of knowledge within organization, which is very important in the process of organizational performance (Caloghirou et al., 2018; Njine et al., 2017; Boring, 2017).
In this context, the proposed research shall focus on finding ways to drive innovation by way of employee trainings-based learning process to become a continually learning organization. The organization under focus, ABC Corp., is a manufacturing company with global presence and operating across multiple regions in the international markets.
Research Purpose & Research Questions
In the context of the research background discussed, the specific purpose of this study lies in finding ways to drive innovation at ABC Corp. by way of employee trainings-based learning process to become a continually learning organization.
The research questions that shall be pursued as part of this study include the following –
1. What are the innovations drivers, implications, and success factors that ABC Corp. needs to consider for designing, planning, and establishing the employee trainings as part of its learning process to become a continually learning organization?
2. What are the various digital and other technology tools and mediums for developing effective and innovation focussed training programs at ABC Corp.?
3. Develop an integrated framework for innovation focussed learning process to deliver employee trainings for ABC Corp. to orient, train, and make the employee be competent and capable for driving innovation.
Research Context
Innovation could in addition be stated to be a force which drives growth in economy and the same plays critical role with respect to the overall success concerning many different companies akin to Google, Apple, Honda, Amazon, P&G, as well as many others (Manresa et al., 2018; Nguyen et al., 2016; Liu et al., 2017). In essence, innovations resulted in the shaping of modern market as well as in a constant manner define leader companies across each of the market segment (Manresa et al., 2018; Nguyen et al., 2016; Liu et al., 2017). The same shall be extremely challenging, however, for the companies in continuously undertaking innovative.
