Hope you are doing well and staying safe! This week’s discussion is very interesting and insightful as we drill down into our learning journey to comprehend the progress of clients and the quality of service delivered on the ground.
The first question revolves around how would I evaluate the progress of the client as well as comprehend it they are ready to terminate services. Applying the concepts from Kirst-Ashman and Hull, there are numerous methods available to assess the quality of services and analyze when it is the right time to terminate the service. I feel that the progress of the client of parameters like communication, and mental and physical health along with other aspects can be an effective way to analyze whether the interventions taken were successful or not. As a professional social worker, I believe that tracking the progress with respect to goals established and milestones achieved in the process.
The second aspect of this week's discussion talks about, explaining a situation when a professional relationship might have ended prior to the client achieving their goals.
