The lipid hypothesis targeted fat, particularly saturated fat, as the “bad guy” causing most of our chronic diseases. But experts were wrong! This is an example of how nutritionist/reductionist ways of thinking about food have led to serious errors affecting the public’s health. In one paragraph explain how following experts' advice about fats over several decades has led to making us fatter and sicker.
