Referencing is not needed. Moreover, there is no word limit. Plus, I have 5 more files related to this assignment. I couldn't upload here. The important thing is Student Assessment Tasks file and others are just supporting. Again, in Student Assessment Tasks file, I will fill in the blanks and signatures. I just need a work file from you where all the tasks are done.

This document is Briefing Report Template.
It is part of the supporting assessment resources for Assessment Task 2 of BSBWHS605.
Office Help
Workplace Health and Safety Management briefing report
Introduction
The goal of the report is to inform Office Help employees on the importance of WHS and best practises. Accounts and finance, multimedia, design and production, and business administration are the three divisions that make up Office Help. Although the organisation now lacks a Workplace Health and Safety Management System, it has been designated as a priority item that should be completed prior to expansion.
Hazards
The following are some of the most prevalent organisational hazards:
· Physical Hazard: slips, trips, falls, exposure to loud noises, working from heights, vibrations etc.
· Chemical Hazard
· Ergonomic Hazard
· Biological Hazard
· Safety Hazard include any substance that can injure worker. For example: cable in carpet etc.
Other common hazards are:
Floor Space, Carpet lift, ventilation insufficient, lights not working, air conditioned, etc.
Also, working from home has more hazard than working at office.
Experience
As stated in the case study, the firm has no hazards and has not reported any hazards to date.
Resources
The resources that are needed to implement WHMS are:
· Poster
· Sign board
· Email
· Signage
· Memo
· Money
· Human Resource etc
· Incident Report
· Training resources
· Hazard Inspection Checklist
The form and content of a WHS Management System (WHSMS)
AS/NZS 4801 and 4804 (2001) define five fundamental concepts that must be present in a working WHSMS as follows:
· Policy
· Planning
· Implementation
· Measurement and evaluation
· Management review
The purposes and functions of a WHS Management System (WHSMS)
The goal of Work Health and Safety legislation (WHS legislation) is to safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of workers, volunteers, and other people who work in or visit a workplace.
Sources of information on WHS management.
· Regulations - specify the criteria for certain dangers and dangers, such as noise, mach
inery, and manual handling.
· Codes of practise - give practical guidance on how to comply with the Act's and Regulations' obligations.
· Regulating agency - WHS rules are administered by a regulating agency (regulator), which inspects workplaces, gives advice, and enforces the legislation. WHS information and resources may be found on their website.
How the development of a WHSMS could be beneficial for Office Help
There are at least two advantages to using Office Help:
· It will save you money. For example, if someone is harmed at work owing to a lack of WHMS regulations, the firm will suffer a significant cost.
· It will protect the lives of all firm employees.
The steps that the company will have to take to develop and implement a WHSMS
The steps Office Help will have to take are:
· Step1: Operational Element of OHSMS (include elimination, substitution, engineering control, administrative control and PPE
· Step2: Training
· Step3: Communication
· Step4: Document and record control measures
Performance Indicators
The three positive performance indicators are:
· Injury free place.
· No insurance claims
· Less Absenteeism

Assessment Task 1 Instructions as provided to students
Provide answers to all of the questions below:
1. Outline three examples of barriers to the implementation of a WHS Management System. For each barrier, identify a strategy that can be used to overcome the barrier.
Three examples of barriers to the implementation of a WHS Management System:
1. Employees do not adhere to health and safety regulations.
2. Avoidance of tasks by employees
3. Employees put other colleagues at danger by disobeying the WHS System.
To prevent or overcome these obstacles, we need solutions such as properly training people, explaining and justifying the system in place. Reward employees for attending training, speak with employees and include them in the system, and keep the system simple and transparent so that everyone can follow it.
2. List three reasons why it is important to consult with staff when implementing or reviewing WHS procedures and policies in the workplace.
The three reasons why it is important to consult with staff when implementing or reviewing WHS procedures and policies in the workplace:
· for spotting dangers and weighing risks
· making judgments on how to remove or reduce such risks.
· suggesting modifications that may have an impact on employees' health or safety.
3. Describe how positive performance indicators can produce valid and reliable measures of WHS performance
The Positive Performance Indicators demonstrate acts that provide clarity and information about a job position and health and safety results. It is a method of determining the outcome of a company's OHS practise. It can also show how many workplace inspections have been conducted, what approaches or tools have been employed to enhance the firm, and how many employees have received OHS training.
4. Give at least three examples of WHS positive performance indicators
Three examples of WHS positive performance indicators:
· The percentage of non-conformances discovered and remedied as a consequence of a safety audit
· The percentage of personnel who get Work Health and Safety training
· Hazard reporting
5. Describe how outcome indicators can produce valid and reliable measures of WHS performance
The results are measured in terms of achieving objectives as well as making progress toward achieving targets and higher-level goals. For example, if the aim is for employees to understand hazardous material storage and handling requirements within a certain time frame, a good indication of this sort would be the number or percent of employees competent in hazardous material storage and handling requirements.
6. Give at least three examples of WHS outcome indicators
Examples of WHS outcome indicators:
Outcome indicators focus on: Measuring losses such as LTIFR, compensation costs for employees or mortality and/or incidence rates for the lost time injury.
7. Identify and title and date of the WHS/OHS Act and Regulation for the state in which you are located.
Act: Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld)
Regulation: Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 (Qld)
8. Give a brief explanation of the national harmonization of work health and safety legislation and the name of the WHS/OHS Acts for the States that have not adopted this legislation.
WHS legislation harmonisation was a goal of the Council of Australian Governments' (COAG) National Reform Agenda, which intended to minimise regulatory burden and build a more integrated national economy. In July 2008, the Intergovernmental Agreement for Regulatory and Operational Reform in Occupational Health and Safety was established, kicking off the official harmonisation process. The goals of harmonising WHS legislation through a model framework are to:
· safeguard employees' health and safety;
· promote workplace safety;
· minimise compliance costs for businesses; and
· increase regulatory agency efficiency.
At this time, the new legislation has not been approved in Victoria or Western Australia. Until that time comes, each of these states will continue to use their existing law and guidance materials, as well as the OHS nomenclature.
9. Describe the two Australian/New Zealand Standards relevant to work health and safety management systems.
The Australian and New Zealand standard for safety management is AS/NZS 4801. This standard, known as AS/NZS 4801:2001, was updated in 2001 and is the gold standard for assessing Occupational Health and Safety across management systems. It is a discipline that assists organisations in defining and implementing policies and goals that reflect a company's awareness of and control over hazards and risks in the workplace. OHSAS 18001 is the globally...
