The mission statement of the company has been associated with the well-being of the company. It aimed at providing the delivery service in the human communities throughout New York. It is a charitable organization, which is needed to fulfill every kinetic need of those distressed like older people and the children. The Vision statement of the company is helpful for the New Yorkers for building a strong foundation for the future. It aimed to deliver an excellent service and to kick off a good start, for all the people.ย  Problem Statement ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย The problem, which has been associated with the SCO Family of Services, is that of leadership and the building of the team. The leadership and the team building have caused a major distribution of products to the communities. The lack of leadership has been affecting the employees to move on with the work mode of the organization. Most of the products which have been ought to be delivered has been an utter hurdle. The productivity of the company has been hampered due to the proper building of the team. Therefore, SCO Family of Services has been concerned about and thinking about mitigations. Literature Review Critical Findings ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย The critical findings of the study are that The SCO Family of Services has been incorporating the values of the service for the development of the organization. The studies show that it has become successful by implementing values like compassion, empowerment, dedication, and responsiveness for the local communities. All these theorems have been applied and negated for the improvement of the wellbeing of the people (Hickerson, Taylor &Terhaar, 2016). It has been acquiring charitable funds for the development of its resources. It had been similarly grossly considering the logical facts for improving the aspects of the leadership and the building of the team. Resources for study ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย The main cause of the need for the study is that: Many people spread in various parts of New York have needed certain facilities. These facilities have been earnest for the extension of the power of the living of the communities. This power of living has been harnessed due to a lack of financial stability in their homes. This financial stability has been equally creating a problem for child growth (Wang et al., 2018). Therefore, research and help from the SCO Family of Services have been a crucial factor. The company has been planning to employ auto criticism for balancing leadership. Literature Gap ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย The gaps, which have been seen in the literature, are that there has been a lack of information regarding what kind of facilities have been needed for which demographic sector. Moreover, the language, which has been needed for an explanation of the literature, has been barred in this work (Yalyalieva et al., 2020). The other ages are that the size of the population who has been called for giving a review on this organization has been lesser. In addition, there is a lack of proper data collection methods, which has made the work jumbled up. A brief and comprehensive understanding cannot be made from this assignment. Logic Model Design In any research work, it is very important to incorporate a logic model. Wong and Amalathas (2020) have added that the logic model is a roadmap that represents the collaborative and shared relationship among the inputs, the activities, the resources, and the outcomes and along with the outcome the impact of the program. A logic model would complete the entire process by mandatorily following the four important steps such as Inputs, Activities, Outputs, and Outcomes. Inputs are the major core resources that are required by the program, which will be further, used to produce the desired outcome in the participants. In this following research, the inputs are the staffs who are involved in the social service work, the necessary findings needed for conducting this work, the communication channel that is necessary to keep an alignment with the suppliers, the workers, and the people who are receiving this service. Further, human resources are the most important factors as an efficient human resource pool is the one who will make sure that the entire work is done in a proper manner and the needy people receive the desired services. Lastly, the most important part is the necessary training curriculum for the employees who will be trained with respect to the manner in which they will approach the people and the manner in which the services will be provided. The second important factor is the activities that are necessary to conduct the entire work. To implement the entire work in a proper manner the most important factor is to provide the staff with proper training. With the proper training, the staff will be able to understand their job roles and they would be able to perform their job in a proper manner. Further, the most important factor is the communication strategies of the staff as this is very important to communicate properly with the people to understand their needs and according to that, they will deliver their services to the needy people who are waiting to avail of the services. The next important thing that needs to be modified is leadership style. The research paper was all about the drawback the leadership style had brought in the social service work. Hence, with the proper leadership style, the problems will be solved. Lastly, the environmental changes that are necessary to work properly with the assignment.ย ย ย  The next important part of the logic model is the outputs. Yousif and Shaout (2016) have discussed that outputs are the quantity of the codified program service that includes several participants involved in the program and have completed the program. In this research paper, the participants are the management team, the works who are directly involved in the service work, the suppliers, and the recipients of the services. It is very important to have improved communication as that will not put any kind of communication gap among the staff and the service receivers. Further, the working culture should be improved as there will be employee satisfaction and employee retention will be there. Lastly, with this, the change in the attitude and the mode of doing efficient work will also there and that will improve social work. The final part of any logic model is the outcome. Wong, Amalathas, and Zitkova (2019) have discussed that outcomes are the results of the entire work and the improvements that have been implemented. In this scenario, the necessary outcome is efficient team building along with the model of a new leadership style of working. This will improve the manner in which the services will be improved and the clients will receive the services.ย ย ย  Data Collection Instrument Data collection is one of the most important parts of any research work. Marinello (2017) have discussed that the data is collected through a proper instrument. Interviews, observations, archival documents and government sources, laboratory experiments, quasi-experiments, and the scales for measuring. Questionnaires are a tool, which is designed to collect qualitative data. This method is widely used for the construction of a good research paper. In this research, work for SCO services the questionnaires that will be prepared for the staff, the recipients of the services, and the suppliers. The questionnaire will provide the views of the participants and thus the exact drawback and the area of improvement will be found which is necessary for implementing the improvements required. Further, during this process, it is also very important to make sure that any kind of influence should not be put upon the participants as that will fail the purpose of the entire research work.ย ย  The next important tool for data collection is the interview process. Canals (2017) have discussed that interview is too, for collecting qualitative data. The interview process must follow the parts of completeness, tact, precision, accuracy, and confidentiality. In this research work, the interview will be conducted for the staff members engaged in the work, the suppliers, the financial suppliers, the management team, and the people who are entitled to receive or are receiving this service. In the entire interview process, the questionnaires that have been set will be asked, and based on the response received the appropriate results will be drawn. This result will further improve the in-service system. The interview will be conducted in many forms such as individual, face-to-face. Another method of data collection is through observation. Mavalanov-Triantoro, Gopal, and Benbunan-Fich (2017) have further discussed that observation is the process of monitoring the entire people involved in the research work. Further observation is conducted on the work and the organization where the entire work is conducted. Observation can also be conducted through field notes, video, or audio recordings, which will be further, analyzed using the analytical tools. Therefore, these are the available tools, which are available to conduct the entire data collection for the project report.ย ย  Implications and Limitations The implication in the research paper suggests the findings which are important for the subsequent research or the new modifications that are needed to be applied to make it a better service provider. The implications being practically implemented hence these must be supported by concrete evidence. Theofanidis and Fountouki (2018) have further discussed that there are certain parameters that need to be explained and the most important thing is that all the limitations are taken into account and to avoid the generalized results. The research paper was prepared to identify the drawbacks that the SOC family of service had in their entire service and to rectify and implement the necessary changes to continue with smooth services. The implication had targeted the specific community that receives the support system and they are benefitted from it. With the method of data collection, the questions are asked from the staff, suppliers, and the people who are receiving this benefit. Further, the recommendations are also given with respect to the products that are supplied to the people as the quality of the products matters a lot. Hence, with these recommendations, the real purpose of conducting the research work will be conducted in a proper manner.ย  In any project research work, there are certain limitations that create a path for further research work that needs to be continued in the coming future. Introduction
I strongly believe that the temple of education and development, SCO Family of Services should become a learning organization in order to survive and become competitive in a complex environment. My answer aims to explain the context and then address the crux of question whether Organization or not. The first part of my answer is concerned about the ways an organization like in this case, university possess those qualities that matches the characteristics of a theoretical model of a learning organization. The second part of the answer is regarding ways in which the organizational characteristics interact with one another in order to find out whether they support or hinder organizational learning. An integrated theoretical model of a learning organization was based on different perspectives as explained in the book The Fifth Discipline by Peter Senge. I have divided the university into six subsystems vision, grouping, communication, norm, sanctions, evaluation and system. My analysis has been focused on the identification of organizational characteristics in relation to the theoretical model.
Problem Statement
SCO Family of Services differs from other organizations in many ways like size, magnitude of employees interacting with students, who are also clients to the organization and most importantly vision that SCO as an organization aspires to achieve. For instance, I would like to focus the spotlight on the fact that while organizations in general strive to make profits yet SCO Family of Services is primarily non-profit organization. There is no doubt that the challenges to SCO as an organization are more complex than many profitmaking organizations. As the company establishes itself and become more diverse, fragmented, specialized and connected with other social systems, an institutional mission intermingles and become unclear. This is due to the fact that since the missions multiply therefore becomes source of stress and conflict rather than integration. The problem is not that institutions cannot identify their goals but rather that they simultaneously embracing a large number of conflicting goals.
Research Literature
In the organization, specialists from different departments retreat into the forts of their specialized knowledge-fields and the result is an academic individualism that bring along a disinterest of the welfare of the broader organization. They prefer the isolated study of highly specialized fields and they are no longer concerned with the relationships of their work to that of colleagues. This individualism in the department is becoming more and more the reality of present-day SCO family of service. For example, research happening in fields of chemistry has not link with research happening in the department of life-sciences. SCO proclaims itself as research driven but has no mechanism to check whether the research happening at ground level has alignment with the organizational goal. Thus, we can see that organizations are broken into different research departments that work as silos without any communication linkage observed for achieving the organizationโ€™s vision. However, through various seminars and workshops this silo approach is changing. Conventionally, organizationโ€™s decision-making structures have been characterized as hierarchical and these structures are reflected in day to day activities taking place in organization. Decision- making processes in university is often complex, since the decision-making power is extremely diffuse.
As mentioned, SCO family of services has difficulty to integrate internal processes and therefore also find it difficult to adapt to the environment. Organization assumes that by increasing the bureaucracy, SCO is tightening the loose links, which will make their internal processes easier to control, predict and integrate. The new bureaucratic managerial mode therefore has as its aim to integrate universities. Taking in the perspective of contingency theory that views university adaptation as a response to changes in the environment as the management strives to balance internal needs with conditions in the environment. Focus is between the universityยดs internal structures and the changing environment. It is all about identifying the most fitting organizational structure in relation to the environmental conditions.
