Case study
Eating at restaurant has become very common trend these days. The case study suggested that consumer has legal and ethical right to what is sold to them by restaurant to them in the name of food and beverages. The current study explores the specific legal issue of Howard v. Kerzner Int'l Ltd that was presented before the Court. As suggested by Cavico, Mujtaba, Muffler, Samuel and Polito (2017), a woman in Florida restaurant, Amy Howard, became ill after eating the fish. The fish consumed by her was rich in ciguatoxin. Ciguatoxin is a natural toxin to animals but causes food poisoning in humans. The fish was sold in Bahamas and was bought as well as prepared in Bahamas’ restaurant Mesa Grill. She sued the restaurant for the same.
