TASK 4: REQUIREMENTS
• Provide a brief overview of Tourism Australia as a DMO
• Analyse the reasons and the goals of the “Holiday Here This Year” campaign
• Describe Leiper’s tourism system and explain how the case study relates to it
• Define the target market of this campaign and provide examples from the case study
• Explain the four (4) marketing segmentation models and give examples from the case study how Tourism Australia tries to match the target market
• Use at least one theory that describes motivational factors for travel and how this will relate to tourists in the case study; provide example holidays that would suit these travellers
• Analyse the UGC and social media activities that Tourism Australia uses for this campaign
• Describe the socio-cultural and economic impacts of tourism from Australian travellers to these Australian destinations
• Make recommendations how local communities in the bushfire affected areas can partner with other members of the tourism industry to stimulate travel to these areas

• Demonstrate an understanding of the conceptual framework for tourism and hospitality destination marketing and the activities of major stakeholders involved
• Describe the fundamental structure of a tourism system, including the role of destinations
• Identify location’s target market
• Discuss the types and importance of tourism/hospitality behavioural segmentation
• Identify the major generic factors that attract visitors to destinations and how tourism demand and consumption can be influenced
• Identify the socio-cultural, demographic, technological and political forces that influence tourism supply and demand.
• Organise ideas and structure arguments to provide justification for the recommendations given
• Reference literature using APA reference style requirements.
