Task Description:Write a 400 +-10% word reflective blog post discussing what you have learned about the language of social media, and how you propose to apply this new knowledge. You can focus on one aspect, or you can cover a range of topics (but remember the word limit!). Your post is expected to incorporate the typical features of the blog genre and to be supported by a range of CMC, each used to underpin points in your reflection. You should also use a style appropriate for reflective writing.

Your post is expected to incorporate the typical features of the blog genre, and to use a style appropriate for reflective writing. 9/4/19 2 Breaking down the task… • You will write a blog post that considers what you have learnt about online language • It is a reflective text – This means it is YOUR thoughts and YOUR understanding – You can use first person pronouns – HOWEVER, you should still use in-text citations to provide evidence for your claims, and you should include a final reference list – The reference list should not be included in the final word count How should you approach it? • This is your opportunity to show off! • Revisit each of the lectures, read the readings, reconsider the tutorial activities • Consider the theories covered in the unit- how can they be used to explain online interaction? • Ask yourself what makes online language different? • You do not need to cover everything, but what you do cover needs to be carefully considered.
