Introduction    
The pandemic has disrupted the business and challenged the global economy. Tourism industry has been extremely affected because of restrictions on international movement and domestic movement. The post pandemic period assumes to soften the blow with help of domestic tourism. However, several aspects were severely affected the potentiality of the tourism industry and have a recursive effect on the regional settlement. Laborers have migrated and settled in their hometown during the pandemic and thus resulting in gaps for skilled labor in the post pandemic period. The research shall explore what developments and new opportunities can be resorted for regional settlement of the population in order to increase the economic viability.
Background of the Problem
Hotel industry has been facing serious challenges and issues in the recent past. The impact of pandemic has accelerated and expanded the weight of these issues. Shortage of skilled labor and an increasingly competitive global market has been reported as the significant problem in the tourism industry (Leach et al., 2021). Emerging technology, availability of capital and changing customer expectation have been some of the effective problems faced by the hotel industry. Economic crisis owing to pandemic have a serious impact on the hotel industry. Hotel industry is a significant part of the tourism industry. Series of lockdowns and restrictions on the movement has affected the hotel industry. Most of the skilled labors migrated to their hometown during the lockdown and thus creating a redundancy of skilled labor for the hotel industry after the pandemic.    
Purpose of the Study    
The purpose of the research is to identify the various problems that are associated with the regional settlement in during the post pandemic period. It is also forecast to evaluate the effects various measures of the development of tourism on the regional settlement. The research apparently determined how effectively domestic tourism can be developed with the aspect of regional settlement. It also explores the problems that are associated with the regional settlement that can find out the development of domestic tourism. The research is also focused to explore the possible ways domestic tourism industry can develop by developing the regional settlement.
Research Hypotheses
The research hypothesis focuses on the aspects that whether developing domestic tourism will help in supporting regional settlement in the post pandemic period or not.
H0: Developing domestic tourism will support the regional settlement.
H1: Developing domestic tourism will not support the regional settlement.
The hypothesis determines to explore the aspects that are responsible for developing domestic tourism and in turn in developing the regional settlements after the pandemic.    
Literature Review
The economic impact of the covid-19 was severe. International and national crisis resulted in inequality in the labor market that has disproportionately affected the individuals from the marginalized backgrounds. The pandemic has showcased inequities with regards to access to decent work (Perkins & Mackay, 2021). This has forced to numerous labors to move to their hometowns. Consistent lockdown can travel restrictions have disrupted the functioning of the entire tourism industry. The employees in this particular sector lost their jobs during the pandemic and forced them to move to their hometowns (Gupta & Shah, 2021). This has consequently resulted in the change in settlement pattern. A significant consequence has been the growth of the ownership in the rural areas which has affected the territorial and infrastructural linkages among the settlement pattern.
After the encouraging news on vaccines has booster hopes for recovery however the challenges remain with the tourism sector (Polukhins et al., 2020). Domestic tourism has gained momentum and is eventually helping to mitigate the impact on jobs and businesses in some destinations. The real recovery however requires government cooperation and effective development policies must be directed to exploit the resources in the rural areas for empowering the rural settlement (Sharifi & Khavarian-Garmsir, 2021).
