 Simple random sampling method since our household data are similar to one another on important variables like gender, meals, and phones for all household selected in the sample. It is the most suitable method for the household data since it ensures a high degree of representativeness. Also household represented in the population have an equal chance of being selected in the sample. It’s also simple and a convenient method to use.


A.    Compute the descriptive  statistics and draw a Box-Whisker plot of Expenditures on the following variables (all series in one graph)
(1)    Alcohol       (2) Meals        (3) Fuel          (4) Phone


•    The standard deviation is a quantity that indicates the deviation from the whole data set    Alcohol has a deviation of 2096.595 from the mean. These indicate those households do spend on Alcohol far more on average spend. A deviation of 1581.649 on meals that compared to their mean spends. On fuel a deviation of 1639.157 from the mean value as well as 1758.58 on phone.
•    The variability in expenses in the expenditure is far away from the mean value. Most of the household member have a large
