1)Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) is a very commonly used method of analysing data in Psychology. Firstly, explain whatvariancemeans. Then explain how the ANOVA partitions the total variance of a dependent variable so that the probability that differences between groups or treatments in the DV are due to chance may be estimated. Finally, describe some of the more complex forms of ANOVA such as factorial and repeated measures ANOVA, and the type of data for which they are appropriate.
