Healthcare professionals working under the managerial epidemiology focuses more on patients instead on community.

There have been different types of managerial epidemiology, which can be employed in the management of healthcare taking in consideration the quality as well as the cost of the services.
Some of the study designs that are utilized by the managerial epidemiologist include case studies, surveys and cohort studies. The measures that are utilized include infection rate, mortality rate and morbidity rate. There are several statistical techniques that are utilized by the epidemiologist that help them in the stratification of data related to the health problem. This includes diagnosis, disability, clinical and biological homogeneity (Larranaga, Stafylas, Fullaondo, Apuzzo & Mar, 2018).
