The epidemiological study can define the public health problems which can commonly occurring in our surroundings. The epidemiology is the study where communicable and non communicable diseases based information that provides awareness and knowledge.
People can carry many more viru
ses and able to share the diseases to another. The close contact with infected human is the high risk of the disease occurrence. Infected individual unaware about the disease or that virus which they carry in recent scenario COVID-19 virus affected person are spreads viruses through body serum. Closely watching these contacts after exposure to an infected person will help the contacts to get care and treatment, and will prevent further transmission of the virus.
The monitoring process of transmission is known as the contact tracing. They can be done by the firstly through identification of the contact. If the person felt ill then to indentify and asked about the sources that person assuming, asking about the activity of the person from family members. Through the process we need to indentify the role of the effective person in environment and those indicating activities since onset of illness. Then contact listing is done by the listing of people who are contacted with the infected person. Contacts should also be provided with information about prevention of the disease. In some cases, quarantine or isolation is required for high risk contacts, either at home, or in hospital. If any early sign and symptoms arise the early care can be helpful for an individual and then lastly contact has to be regularly monitoring the systems, testing if any signs of COVID-19 occur as known as contact follow up.
In COVID-19 cases the community transmission taking an important role for contact transmission, the collected information from individual, hospitals to get the prevalence rate and number of cases admitted in health care unit as well as number of death rates resulting. Reporting with growth chart is very effective to all community to understand the growth rate. Tracing contacts helps to get if any epidemiological link can be recorded and to know the exposure level to advice for self quarantine. Those presentations, data, epidemiological links, findings exposure evidence are indicating the impact of COVID-19. COVID-19 became a nationally notifiable disease, meaning that health departments are required to report cases of COVID-19. Systems like the National Notifiable Diseases Surveillance System (NNDSS) collect and send data on cases of COVID-19 to CDC.
