If there is a case of fire, individuals need to stay calm. They need to abide by RACE
Rescue- anyone who can be saved without endangering oneself
Alarm- contact fire brigades, notify those in charge
Contain- close all openings to contain fire and close air supply
Extinguish- use extinguisher (if trained)
b. a bomb threat
1- remain calm
2- note caller information like message, time of call, ID numberetc
3- notify police through a landline
4- visually inspect area without touching suspicious objects
5- evacuate service
c. a medical emergency
1- provide first-aid
2- contact ambulance
3- contact parents/family immediately
a. Fire
1- If there is a case of fire, facility workers need to stay calm and reassure the children first.
2- Pull the fire alarm
3- Remind the children of the fire drills they have practiced and to head to the agreed upon place for evacuation
4- Instruct them not to run or try to take their belongings
5- Make sure all children are out of the facility if possible.
6- Contact fire brigades and those in charge.
b. a bomb threat
1- In case of a bomb threat, facility workers need to remain calm
2- Children must be evacuated first
3- Police must be notified at once.
