This is the final exam for BU 421: Operations Management. Each answer should draw upon materials throughout the course and address some of the key issues. A minimum of a paragraph (200 words) per response is expected.

Executive Summary
The organization selected for the study is the Coca Cola Company. The organization conduct the business globally using the franchising system. it has been seen that company has unique supply management system where syrup concentration is developed in the anchor bottling and supplied to the bottling partner worldwide. Then final product is developed by mixing water and sugar to distribute to the predefined location. The organization get vulnerable to held accountable for the actions of the bottling organization.
Introduction
The organization selected for the study is Coca Cola Company. This company was established in 1886 and it developed the first Cola beverage of the world. Coca Cola is now recognized as global multination organization consisting of more than 200 companies and have around 500 products under their label such as costa coffee and Zico’s coconut water. This organization has diverse community of employees with more than 700,000 employees (The Coca Cola Company, 2019).
Structure of Global Chain Supply, Operation and Production
Coca Cola has unique Supply Chain Management System where organization produces syrup concentration and then sold it to various bottlers throughout the world where organization holds the power of sales. The organization owns its anchor bottler organization in the North America under the name of Coca-Cola Refreshment. As suggested by Chalikias and Skordoulis (2017), it has been seen that Coca Cola bottlers who have exclusive contracts with the company to produce the finished products in cans and bottles.
The syrups concentrates were sent in combination with filtered water and sweeteners. These bottles were sold and distributed to the retail shops, restaurants and food services. As stated by Gattorna (2017), the supply chain of the Coca Cola is divided into levels. There are both upstream and downstream activities of the products, which result in partnership with distributors, channels and different bottlers to reach different retailers.
As mentioned by Scott, Lundgren and Thompson (2018), upstream activity of the organization is limited to the manufacturing of the concentrated syrup only. The actual formula of the syrup is tightly held in a secret, which was produced by the anchor bottle organisation in the North America and distributed to the rest of the partners to make the final bottles for the sales.
