1. Introduction to forensic analysis using cell phone
In today’s scenario of crime, the cell phones are the most important and key aspect used by forensic experts for analysis of any crime scene. The cell phone provides the last location of user, call details, chats, regular activities to understand individuals mental conditions and many others things which can use by forensic experts to analyze any occurred crime scene. The forensic experts collect all information available in cell phone with help of stored multimedia and it is known as data acquisition. The chances of data loss are initially removed by this data acquisition process. The content of the mobile device, its manufacturer, used OS and cell phone type are examined for forensic analysis. The mobile forensic makes use of different techniques and related tools which can be used for forensic analysis but based on the crime scene the selection of technique and related tools is done. The most common techniques used for forensic analysis to investigate any crime scene are physical acquisition, logical acquisition, and CDR.
