1 what it is about.2 how is it important.3 approach of ours toward their work done.
4 strengths of the paper5 weakness drawbacks of the paper.

Due to the slow link, time for delivery becomes slow but in case of mobile devices, it needs to be awake as both ends should be active in TCP during data transfer. In this case, proxy-based architecture helps to accumulate all the small intervals within the packet and convert it into large intervals when the device turns into the sleep mode or energy-saving mode in order to save power (Shang et al. 2016). Therefore, in that case no changes are occurred in the data delivery time. Therefore, the major elements of this system are
· Catnap proxy: A proxy-based architecture works as a translator. It helps to decouple the wireless and wired segments using transport layer connecting splitting.
· Workload hints are used to get information about the contents of transfers. There are two types of hints that can be got. Those are, content type during the sleep mode and content type during inactive sleep mode.
· Scheduler can be considered as the brain of Catnap. It determines the sleep time of the devices depending on the size of the transfer. Apart from that, it considers the energy cost during the sleep mode, connection between the wired and wireless bandwidth segments. This decision can be of two types: 802.11 power save mode, which is activated when the devices are switches, Wi-Fi on and off. The other mode is deep sleep mode, which is activated when the device turns into the standby mode or RAM mode.
Therefore, from this experiment with Catnap proxy-architecture, it can be seen that, this system is effective to improve the battery life of mobile device up to 2-5x. In this case, it can be mentioned that, the 802.11 PSM is effective to improve the battery life up to 2x whereas, the deep sleep mode can help the device to improve its battery life up to 5x (Shaukat et al. 2016). Therefore, there is a issue with this system that it can slow down the data delivery process a bit. In this aspect, it can be considered as crucial issues for the wireless device users. Nowadays the mobile devices provide multitasking facilities to their users. This proxy-based architecture can hamper the multitasking experience of the users by slowing down the device to save energy. Moreover, it can be said that proxy-based architecture is effective for energy saving but it has some major drawbacks too.
Energy-Saving by Efficient Wireless Interface Discovery
The end mobile devices contains air interface like 3G, 4G and Wi-Fi.
