There are many technologies, which are uses in crime analysis. The discussion will be made on mainly three technologies, which have vast importance in crime analysis. The benefits of the crime analysis to the community will also be discussed in the below portion.
Computer-Aided Dispatch System
This is a specially designed system, which has a great specialization. It uses geographic display and telecommunication to help in the crime analysis process. The police get support from the dispatch and response functions of this system. The police departments use this CAD technology for tracking the officer’s locations and the essential activities like in the traffic points this CAD technology has been used.
The CAD system records the conversation between the dispatchers and a police officer. The CAD system is unable to record the phone calls of any citizens regarding an emergency incident. The police department would like to prefer to transfer the information of citizen call from a 911 system to a CAD system. The 911 system helps to record all information about the market. To do the crime analysis, the specialist does not need full details on the call; it needs to summarize the data.
