Assessment Event number 1 of 2 Instructions for this assessment This is a project based assessment and will be assessing you on your knowledge and performance of the unit. This assessment consists of four parts: 1. Foundations of Manage Human Resource Services 2. Human Resource Service Delivery Plan 3. Consultation 4. Service Level Agreement This assessment also contains: Assessment feedback Assessor observation checklist Submission instructions On completion of this assessment, you are required to upload it or hand it to your assessor for marking. Ensure you have written your name at the bottom of each page of this assessment. Submit the following documents: 1. Completed BSBHRM501_AE_Pro_1of2 assessment document. 2. Part 2, Task 1: Human Resources Service Delivery Plan. 3. Part 2, Task 2: Service Delivery Plan. 4. Part 3, 2a-c (if not included in assessment document). 5. Part 4: Service Level agreement. You may also be required to submit video evidence, where required. What do I need to do to achieve a satisfactory result? To achieve a satisfactory result for this assessment: · All questions must be answered correctly and in your own words. Alternatively, your teacher/assessor may ask you additional questions to confirm your understanding and knowledge of the topic area. · All parts of the observable task must be performed to a satisfactory level as indicated in the criteria section of the Assessor Observation Checklist. What do I need to provide? Access to: · business technology including a computer with relevant software and internet · student workbook, training materials and other research you have completed. You may also require access to: · a video recording device, such as a smartphone, or access to a video meeting platform, such as Skype, Microsoft Teams or Zoom so that you can record the meeting role plays. You may also need a webcam to do this. What the assessor will provide? Access to: · learning materials · learning management systems such as online learning platforms, where applicable · business strategies and operation plans · relevant legislation, regulations, standards and codes · interaction with others. Due date and time allowed The assessment must be submitted by the due date noted on the Unit Assessment Guide. If you study online, you can find assessment due dates/time allowed/venue information on your online platform on the Assessments page or in your training plan. You should allow a minimum of seven hours to complete this assessment. You may need additional time for preparation, research and revision to ensure you have responded to each question satisfactorily. Supervision This is an unsupervised assessment. Your assessor may ask for additional evidence to verify the authenticity of your submission and confirm that the assessment task was completed by you. This may include oral questioning, comparison with in-class work samples, or observation. Assessment feedback, review or appeals In accordance with the TAFE NSW policy Manage Assessment Appeals, all students have the right to appeal an assessment decision in relation to how the assessment was conducted and the outcome of the assessment. Appeals must be lodged within 14 working days of the formal notification of the result of the assessment. If you would like to request a review of your results or if you have any concerns about your results, contact your Teacher or Head Teacher. This assessment is separated into four parts. Part 1: Foundations of Manage Human Resource Services Short answer questions designed to provide the foundation knowledge required to progress to your research tasks and plans. Part 2: Human Resource Service Delivery plan Develop a Human Resource Service Delivery plan within legislative, organisational and business ethics frameworks for an organisation with which you are familiar. This part assesses your skills and knowledge to plan human resource service delivery. Part 3: Consultation Consult and communicate with managers about your Human Resources Service Delivery Plan developed in Part 2 to identify variations to the plan. Part 4: Service Level Agreement For one human resource service in Part 2, develop a Service Level Agreement between the human resources team, service providers and client groups. This part assesses your skills and knowledge to manage the delivery of human resource services. Part 1: Foundations of Manage Human Resources Services For this task, you are required to complete a series of questions to demonstrate the foundation knowledge for planning, managing and evaluating the delivery of human resource services. 1. Human resources strategy a. Explain the objectives of strategic human resources plans and the steps in the strategic human resources planning process. Your response should be approximately 150 to 200 words. b. Explain the relationship between human resources strategies and business and operational plans. Your response should be approximately 200-250 words. 2. Identify the key provisions of legal and compliance requirements that apply to managing human resources services concerning privacy, work health and safety, industrial relations and anti-discrimination, with examples. Your response should be approximately 500-600 words. 3. Explain the purpose of a Code of Conduct and summarise the content of a Code of Conduct for a specific organisation. Your response should be approximately 100-150 words. 4. Performance and contract management a. Describe the importance of managing and monitoring the performance of human resource service contracts/Service Level Agreements. Identify areas to be monitored. Your response should be approximately 100-150 words. b. Explain how feedback can be used to modify the delivery of human resource services and how that feedback can be collected. When the organisation is developing options for the delivery of human resource services, it will calculate the appropriate Return on Investment. Explain the concept of Return on Investment in regards to the provision of human resource services. Your response should be approximately 100-150 words. b. Calculate the return on investment for the provision of internal training services for the organisation by comparing the benefits of training against the costs (direct and indirect) of internal training services in descriptive terms.
