Using Excel, you will create an “Interactive Dashboard” that makes use of various visualizations to explain the results of your data analysis and anticipates the viewer’s questions about your data. Your Interactive Dashboard should be submitted through Canvas as an Excel Workbook file.
Your Interactive Dashboard should include:
At least three tabs (and no more than 5) that will each provide a different approach to visualizing what is going on in the Airbnb market of your selected city.
- Each tab should include at least one chart or table, but can also include other elements such as images and text. Particularly consider using sources you included in the Data Memo. Be sure to properly cite materials you did not produce yourself.
- All tabs should include a chart or table that can be altered by the user using Slicers or Data Validation List Parameters .
- Each tab of the Interactive Dashboard should provide guidance to the viewer as to how to explore the data. This guidance can take the form of text questions, highlighted measures, special chart elements, etc.
Successful Interactive Dashboards will build on the skills and concepts covered throughout the class in previous assignments. Make sure you incorporate any feedback you received — from the instructor and your fellow students — about how to make better visualizations.
You are encouraged to use “static” versions of the charts and tables in your Interactive Dashboard in the slides of your presentation.
