Project planning is an integral component of project development. Project planning is done in
various stages: firstly, we see the scope of the project, secondly, we estimate the e
ands that
have to be performed, thirdly we evaluate the risks involves in the implementation of the
project and lastly, we assign a schedule to the activities to be undertaken to complete the
project. We will select the Project Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) and scheduling
techniques for our project planning and development. It determines the path that is critical in
the completion of the project. It builds up an estimate of the earliest and latest time of overall
completion of the project.
While dealing with a software project, our main objective is to track, monitor and control the
technical project. Project complexity has to be evaluated; past experience has to be checked
efore selecting a software tool. It is important to understand the project size and also check
