The Anaheim Police Department Training Detail hosted a class for four members of the community to learn about police use of force. In order to experience real life scenarios that police officers are faced with, they had the opportunity to use the police department's virtual police training simulator.

(criminal justice professor at Cal State Fullerton), she wanted to learn is a better understanding of use of force and how is police trained and its implementation
b. Dora Malecki the founder of the pete's press and an anaheim business owner, HE WANTED to learn what the police officers and service members go through on a daily and how to make difficult choices when difficult choices are upon you.
c. Carla Benitez, work with the eli home a non-profit in the city of anaheim with shelter abuse children and women and i also run the escri program, she wanted to learn the other side of the batch what police go through.
d. paul i jones, civilian, he is here to get out of this basically just knowledge and information, and his goal is to be able to help other people understand the job that law enforcement has.
2. Training simulator system
a. How does the simulator make it look like a real life incident?
Ans. it uses three high definition cameras that project on these screens here
it projects life-size appropriate dimensioned objects and a space for our officers to work in as they work through these simulations.
b. How do they modify the firearms to assist the simulation?
Ans. the system uses lasers on these specialized guns that can tell where an officer is pointing his gun and when he fires his gun with that gun that round might impact for the sake of these scenarios so this is the handgun used for the virtra system the inner parts of this handgun are replaced with a laser system that can operate within this environment so officers can accurately see what the impact of their rounds where their rounds are traveling the gun responds with co2 cartridges so it does have a created recoil to give the officers that life-like response that they will get if they fire hand them we also have taser functionality built into the system.
