1. Locate a recent case involving allegations of medical negligence. You do not need to read actual court documents (although you may); rather, you can rely on internet resources. However, please do ensure that you are using a credible source.
a. Identify your case by name. Ideally, you will be able to include the formal case name (e.g., Jenkins vs. Gibbs), butat a minimum, youmustinclude the names of the plaintiff(s) and defendant(s).
b. Provide a brief written summary of the facts of the case.
2. Explain whether Plaintiff met (or can meet) his or her burden of proof on each of the four elements of negligence. Be specific; you should list each element and analyze how the facts apply to that element.
